Fixed Prep Technician

Location: Andover, MA Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Pay Rate: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour (DOE)

If you enjoy crafting, nail artistry, jewelry making, beauty work, or any precise hands-on hobby, this role can be an excellent fit. We are seeking a Fixed Prep Technician to prepare orthodontic models and components used in dental appliance production.

This position offers stable weekday hours, competitive pay, a clean work environment, and the potential for permanent hire.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and prepare 3D printed dental models for production
• Perform carving, banding, and preparation for wire bending processes
• Mount models onto articulators or bases as required
• Use precision hand tools including drills, saws, and X-ACTO knives
• Identify defects following quality and workmanship standards
• Track production progress and maintain documentation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
• Complete approximately 30–50 cases per day

Ideal Background (Not Required But Helpful)

• Nail technicians, beauty professionals, artists, or crafters
• Jewelry making, detailed assembly, or fine motor work
• Manufacturing, dental lab, medical device, or orthodontic experience
• Any role requiring precision, patience, and attention to detail

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to read job orders and small-print specifications
• Comfortable working with small parts and precision tools
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Comfortable sitting for extended periods
• Background check required
