Commercial Construction Estimator

Estimator Position

A well-established and growing commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong estimating experience who can manage projects from initial bid through award while working closely with subcontractors, vendors, project managers, and ownership.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial construction projects
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids
• Develop comprehensive bid proposals and pricing
• Identify potential project risks, exclusions, and scope gaps
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations throughout the preconstruction process
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners
• Assist with value engineering and project budgeting

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Strong experience with hard-bid estimating preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, and costs
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
