Mainframe Developer – Omaha, NE Concentrix – Mainframe Developer (Onsite – 5 days a week) We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with strong experience in COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM. Work extensively on both online and batch processing systems. Analyze requirements and translate them into effective solutions. Perform unit testing, system testing, resolve defects, and provide production support. Troubleshoot application and database issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes. Use strong analytical skills to resolve complex technical problems. Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage tasks using JIRA. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. Mentor junior developers and support high‑quality deliverables. Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience 3–7 years experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM. Strong expertise in both online and batch JCL. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong database knowledge (DB2, VSAM). Understanding of Java programming. Experience using JIRA and knowledge of Agile methodology. Ability to perform code reviews and mentor junior developers. Excellent communication skills. Strong quality mindset with low‑defect deliverables. Good to have: IBM Debugger, GitHub familiarity. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $65,000 to $71,000 plus incentives.
