Full time University Health Physicians , is a multi-specialty academic group practice affiliated with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC SOM) in conjunction with its major teaching facility University Health (UH). University Health Truman Medical Center Many UHP physicians have teaching responsibilities for residents, fellows, and medical students. The UMKC SOM accepts students directly out of high school for a six-year combined baccalaureate/Doctor of Medicine program. The UMKC SOM Graduate Medical Education program supports over 30 residencies and fellowships. UH is known as "Kansas City's Essential Hospital" and is the safety net healthcare system for Jackson County/Kansas City, MO. UH is an academic medical center, serving as the primary teaching institution for the UMKC Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Pharmacy. A 547-bed, not-for-profit health system, UH delivers the highest-quality medical care for our patients, with compassion, empathy, and unparalleled dedication to service. Job Description The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, University Health, and University Health Physicians seek a fellowship-trained, full-time clinical faculty member in neuro-ophthalmology. This is an ideal position for a recent fellowship graduate or an individual desiring a transition to academic medicine to join with our established neuro-ophthalmologist in building the premier neuro-ophthalmology center in Kansas City. There are unique career advancement opportunities for clinical practice, clinical research, and teaching of medical students and neurology and ophthalmology residents. Applicants must be board certified or eligible in neurology or ophthalmology.We are located in Kansas City, Missouri which is recognized as one of America's Most Liveable cities.
