Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in an acute care hospital located in Springfield, Illinois. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care on a medical-surgical unit, with a focus on managing various procedures and conditions such as blood product administration, wound care, and IV therapy. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois (IL) license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Springfield, Illinois
• Shift: 3x12 or 4x12 days, from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois (IL) license; BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a medical-surgical setting; proficiency in blood product administration, colostomy/ileostomy management, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), feeding tube care, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, tracheostomy care/management, and wound care/Wound Vacuum; Cerner EMR experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner charting system.
• Schedule: Dayshift, 3 or 4-day workweek, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to take up to a 1:7 patient ratio if needed; must have the ability to manage trach and laryngectomy patients; only one winter holiday off may be requested; the first day of the assignment is a virtual at-home day, and all required modules must be completed by 4 PM CST on Day 1.
