This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced public accounting professional to lead complex, meaningful tax engagements while continuing to build a long-term career within an independent firm.As a Senior Manager within our Tax team, you will lead key client relationships, oversee complex tax engagements, provide strategic tax guidance, and play an important role in developing our people and growing the practice. You will work closely with clients, partners, and firm leadership in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment that values initiative, professional growth, and exceptional client service.At Moore Colson, you will join one of Atlanta’s most respected CPA firms, recognized locally and nationally for its independence, workplace culture, and commitment to developing its people.Responsibilities:Lead complex federal, state, and local tax engagements for businesses and individualsReview complex income tax returns and ensure technical accuracy, quality, and complianceProvide clients with proactive tax consulting, planning, and projection servicesServe as a trusted advisor to clients and build strong, long-term relationshipsResearch and resolve complex tax matters while providing clear, practical recommendationsOversee engagement planning, staffing, budgets, deadlines, and overall executionCommunicate tax strategies, technical conclusions, and engagement updates to clients and internal stakeholdersIdentify client needs and collaborate with partners and other practice areas to provide additional valueMentor, coach, and develop team membersProvide timely, constructive feedback and support team members in reaching their professional goalsParticipate in business development, networking, and client relationship activitiesContribute to the continued growth and success of the Tax practiceWhat You Will Do: Active CPA license requiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related fieldMaster's degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred6-8 years of progressive tax experience in public accountingExperience reviewing complex business and individual income tax returnsStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulationsExceptional Excel skillsProficiency with tax automation/workflow software is a plusExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong client service mindset and consultative approachSelf-directed and ambitiousWhat We’re Looking For:We believe our people are our greatest asset.
