Tenure faculty (regardless of rank) – persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty member’s tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service and/or teaching or clinical practice. These faculty will have earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience. Position Overview Applicants will be expected to engage in collaborative research that strengthens and expands existing institutional partnerships, while contributing to the training and mentorship of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, residents, and clinical fellows. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent) and demonstrate a record of sustained extramural funding and impactful scholarly publication. The successful applicants will possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, a strong commitment to teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. Teaching/Mentoring Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and mentorship, actively contributing to the academic development of trainees across all levels. They will foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that cultivates the next generation of scientific and clinical leaders in oncology. Successful Candidate Qualifications A medical degree or a terminal research degree (PhD or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. An actively funded research program in basic or translational research relevant to bladder and/or prostate cancers. A record of scholarly achievement and a history of sustained funding at the level appropriate to the applicant’s seniority and professional experience. Demonstrated potential for successfully teaching and mentoring students, trainees, and/or junior faculty. Exceptional organizational and communication skills for work in an interdisciplinary department. Qualifications for an academic appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank in the Department of Urology.
