Job Title: Warehouse Worker 

Location: Aurora, IL 60504 (Onsite)

Shift: 1 st & 2 nd  

Job Description:
Assist in achieving and supporting company goals with respect to the Shipping and Receiving department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Shipping:

·                  Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

·                  Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers.

·                  Insert items into containers using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.

·                  Stamp, stencil, or glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.

Receiving:

·                  Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and forward information to sales or purchasing to contact the shipper regarding damages and shortages.

·                  Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

·                  Forward incoming paperwork with actual counts to the office.

·                  Route items to inspection with incoming paperwork attached.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

·                  Desire to take ownership of decisions and responsibility for outcomes.

·                  Knowledge of arithmetic.

·                  Ability to use measurement tools and counting scales.

·                  Knowledge of the English language structure and content.

·                  Knowledge of ISO9000 procedures and protocols.

·                  Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.

·                  Ability to actively listen and communicate effectively.

·                  Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.

Education and Experience:

·                  Technical or High School degree.

Responsibility and Decision-Making Authority:

·                  Perform tasks and duties with minimal supervision.

Working Hours:

·                  Must be flexible and able to work hours based on priorities.

Working Environment:

·                  Manufacturing environment.

Tools and Equipment Used:

·                  Scale

·                  Hand truck

·                  Pallet truck

·                  Forklift trucks
