School Occupational Therapist - Newark, Delaware

Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Licensed Occupational Therapist with eligibility to practice in the state
Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
Comfortable with a variety of service delivery models, including in-person school interventions, home health, healthcare facilities, and teletherapy platforms
Competent in IEP development, progress reporting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Strong organizational skills and adaptability in dynamic environments
Ability to communicate clearly with students, families, and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students’ strengths and challenges
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with students’ IEPs and school objectives
Deliver direct therapy services in classroom, home, and virtual formats
Advise and coach educators and caregivers on strategies to support student progress
Monitor outcomes and document progress, making data-driven recommendations for adjustments
Engage in ongoing communication with teachers, special education teams, and parents
