NICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: California
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Day shift: 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate start. The RN will provide care for neonates in a fast-paced environment, working closely with a team to ensure the best outcomes for our tiniest patients. This position involves handling complex cases, including infants born before 24 weeks, and requires a deep understanding of neonatal care procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or 1:2 care for neonates in the NICU.
- Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
- Manage feeding via bottle, breast, or gavage methods.
- Implement placement and management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes.
- Adhere to isolation precautions and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Manage arterial lines and provide central line care.
- Administer IV medications, including vasopressors and surfactants.
- Oversee ventilator management (AC, PC, SIMV, CPAP, BIPAP, PEEP).
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience.
- Current and valid California RN license.
- Certifications: BLS, NRP.
- Experience in managing conditions such as Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.
