Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals.
• Incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques and procedures tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for each patient and their caregivers.

• Consult with patients and their families on health education, exercise programs, and home therapy strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, treating individuals with conditions ranging from orthopedic issues to pediatric illnesses, neurologic disorders, and sports injuries. Your primary focus will be on enabling these patients to regain their functional abilities and improve their overall quality of life, employing skilled therapeutic interventions in a home setting that promotes emotional and physical well-being.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in Florida.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant physical therapy setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in computer systems and documentation platforms to manage patient records efficiently.
• A proven ability to build rapport with patients, demonstrating empathy and active listening.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years in a clinical setting is required, candidates with experience in home health care or similar environments are preferred. History of working with specialized populations (e.g., geriatric, children) is favorable, and additional certifications in relevant physical therapy techniques will enhance your candidacy.
