Operations Manager – 3rd Party Manufacturing & NPD

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to manage third-party manufacturing operations and New Product Development (NPD) within the FMCG industry.

The role will be responsible for managing external manufacturing partners, ensuring product quality, optimizing costs, coordinating production activities, and driving the successful launch of new products. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in contract manufacturing, supplier management, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Third-Party Manufacturing (3P)

Manage relationships with third-party and contract manufacturers to ensure smooth production and timely delivery.
Negotiate manufacturing costs, contracts, pricing, and service agreements.
Monitor production schedules, capacity planning, quality, and supplier performance.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement.
Drive cost optimization, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.

New Product Development (NPD)

Coordinate with R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and external manufacturing partners to support new product launches.
Evaluate manufacturing feasibility, production capacity, and scalability for new products.
Manage product trials, testing, validation, and production scale-up.
Coordinate formulation, packaging, raw material sourcing, and manufacturing readiness.
Ensure NPD projects meet agreed timelines, budgets, quality standards, and business objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain within the FMCG industry.
Proven experience in third-party manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or external manufacturing management.
Exposure to New Product Development, product commercialization, or product launches.
Strong supplier management, negotiation, cost optimization, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
