Accounting and Servicing Coordinator - SBA

Key Responsibilities Support the Accounting and Loan Servicing teams with daily operational and administrative functions. Assist with loan accounting activities, reconciliations, payment processing, and financial record maintenance. Coordinate servicing activities for SBA and commercial mortgage loans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures. Prepare and maintain reports using Excel and other business applications. Organize and maintain loan files, accounting records, and supporting documentation. Collaborate across departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely completion of requests. Assist with month‑end reporting and other accounting‑related projects as needed. Utilize technology and AI‑enabled tools to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and support data analysis. Provide administrative support for special projects and departmental initiatives. Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial and customer information. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 1–3 years of experience in accounting, loan servicing, banking, commercial lending, or a related field preferred. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Basic knowledge of commercial mortgage loans and SBA lending programs. Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, formulas), Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat/Nitro, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with accounting software or Access‑based applications is a plus. Familiarity with AI tools and the ability to leverage technology to improve productivity and streamline processes. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple departments. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively under the direction of multiple supervisors within Accounting and Loan Servicing.
