Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Mathematics Position: Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics at Rutgers University – New Brunswick. Overview Subject to funding, the department seeks two appointments at the tenure‑track assistant professor level, with the potential for higher appointment for exceptional candidates. Priority areas are Algebra & Algebraic Geometry, and Discrete Mathematics, though candidates in any area of mathematics are welcome. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics. Conduct research and publish in peer‑reviewed journals. Advise and supervise graduate students. Maintain a teaching load of 2 – 1 for research‑active faculty. Qualifications Ph.D. in Mathematics (to be earned by employment start date). Strong evidence of promise as a researcher and teacher of mathematics.
