Project Manager
Cardone Ventures
Position Summary
The Project Manager at Victory Field Operations is a true ownership role responsible for managing assigned projects from kickoff through final delivery, ensuring every project is executed with integrity, discipline, and measurable results. This role oversees all phases of the project lifecycle — planning, cross-functional coordination, timeline and budget control, risk management, and compliance with state and local laws across ballot access, field operations, canvassing, and recount work. Success is defined not by activity, but by results, execution quality, and full accountability across every project assigned.
About Victory Field Operations
Victory Field Operations (VFO) is a data-driven field operations firm dedicated to delivering ballot access, petition management, signature verification, fraud detection, door-to-door canvassing, get-out-the-vote programs, and recount operations for campaigns and causes that cannot afford mistakes. Founded to fill a critical gap in the political field operations industry, the company partners with candidates, ballot initiatives, party organizations, PACs, and civic engagement programs to design, deploy, and defend high-integrity field programs statewide and nationwide.
VFO combines documented standard operating procedures, rigorous quality controls, daily performance reporting, and zero-tolerance fraud detection to deliver results that are not only measurable but fully defensible under scrutiny. Built on a foundation of integrity, discipline, accountability, and transparency, the company runs field operations like a professional organization — with scorecards, audits, corrective action systems, and chain-of-custody documentation that protects every client's timeline and credibility. Through its experienced team of field operators, compliance-first approach, and unwavering commitment to defensible results, VFO serves as a trusted partner for campaigns and causes across the country that are serious about winning the ground game.
Success Looks Like
- Projects delivered on time, on scope, and on budget with clean documentation and full audit readiness.
- Clear, real-time project plans with defined milestones, ownership, and proactive risk identification and mitigation.
- Strong cross-departmental coordination that keeps field, processing, auditing, and legal teams aligned and executing without gaps.
- High client confidence built through consistent, transparent communication and consistently measurable project outcomes.
- Smooth handoffs from sales to operations and from execution to closeout, with no breaks in accountability or delivery quality.
Objectives
- Own assigned projects from kickoff through final delivery, maintaining full accountability for scope, timeline, and outcomes.
- Build and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones that drive daily execution across all project phases.
- Serve as the central point of coordination across Field Operations, Processing and Data, Fraud and Auditing, Recount and Challenge Teams, Sales and Client Strategy, and Legal and Compliance.
- Monitor staffing levels, production pacing, costs, and resource allocation to keep projects within acceptable parameters at all times.
- Identify and escalate risks related to timelines, compliance, staffing, or scope, and take corrective action before issues become critical.
- Ensure all projects comply with applicable state and local laws and uphold VFO's standards for accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness.
- Provide clear, consistent project updates to internal stakeholders and leadership on a regular and timely basis.
- Maintain accurate, organized project documentation and reporting that reflects real-time status and outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional teams without direct authority by setting clear expectations and driving accountability at every level of the organization.
- Manage project load with a quality-over-volume mindset, ensuring each project receives the level of attention required to execute at a high standard.
- Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of VFO's systems and processes.
- Support smooth client handoffs from the sales and strategy phase into operations, and from execution through final closeout and reporting.
Competencies
- Takes full ownership of assigned projects, treating each deliverable as a direct reflection of personal and professional accountability.
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments where deadlines are real, margins for error are thin, and results are non-negotiable.
- Communicates with clarity, consistency, and decisiveness across internal teams, leadership, and client-facing interactions at all times.
- Demonstrates disciplined planning and organizational skills, building structured project plans that guide execution from day one through closeout.
- Leads effectively without formal authority by setting clear expectations, holding teams to high standards, and driving accountability across departments.
- Identifies risks early and responds with urgency, taking corrective action before small problems escalate into project-level failures.
- Maintains a compliance-first mindset, ensuring all work is executed in accordance with applicable state and local laws and VFO's internal standards.
- Manages budgets, timelines, and resource allocation with precision, keeping projects on track and within scope without sacrificing quality.
- Adapts quickly to shifting project requirements, jurisdictions, and service types, maintaining execution quality regardless of complexity or volume.
- Produces accurate, real-time reporting and documentation that gives leadership and clients full visibility into project status and outcomes.
- Builds trust with clients, colleagues, and cross-functional partners through consistent follow-through, transparency, and results-driven performance.
- Is motivated by growth — personally, professionally, and in contribution to building something that matters at a national level.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, field operations, or a related role in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment is required.
- Experience in political field operations, ballot access, canvassing, GOTV, petition management, or recount work is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across diverse timelines, geographies, and service types is required.
- Proficiency in project management tools, reporting platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite is required; experience with field operations software or data management platforms is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, documentation standards, and audit-readiness practices applicable to field operations is preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Political Science, Public Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials are a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that may require extended hours during peak project periods, election cycles, or critical deadlines.
- Requires the ability to work remotely or on-site depending on project requirements, with availability to travel to project sites, jurisdictions, or client locations as needed.
- Must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods while managing multiple active projects and communication threads simultaneously.
- Involves occasional lifting, organizing, and transporting of project materials, documentation, or equipment as required by specific field operations engagements.
- Must be able to operate effectively under pressure, maintaining focus, accuracy, and professionalism during high-stakes, time-sensitive project phases.
Commitment to Diversity
As an equal opportunity employer committed to meeting the needs of a multigenerational and multicultural workforce, Victory Field Operations recognizes that a diverse staff, reflective of our community, is an integral and welcome part of a successful and ethical business. VFO hires local talent at all levels regardless of race, color, religion, age, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability, and actively fosters inclusion in all forms both within the company and across interactions with clients, candidates, and partners.
