Pricing Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to support regional pricing strategies, customer profitability analysis, and commercial decision-making within a pharmaceutical distribution environment. This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, and business leaders to evaluate customer, program, and product-level profitability, develop pricing recommendations, and identify opportunities that support customer retention and revenue growth. The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen, pricing analytics expertise, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights. Key Responsibilities Support the development and execution of customer pricing strategies. Analyze pricing opportunities to support business growth and customer retention. Evaluate pricing proposals and recommend strategies aligned with profitability objectives. Monitor market conditions and competitive pricing trends. Support pricing decisions through data-driven analyses and recommendations. Customer Profitability Analysis Perform detailed profitability analyses for regional customers. Assess customer, program, and product-level financial performance. Identify drivers of profitability, margin improvement opportunities, and business risks. Provide insights that support contract renewals, pricing negotiations, and customer retention efforts. Evaluate customer economics and long-term business value. Financial Modeling & Business Analysis Build and maintain moderate to complex pricing and financial models. Perform: ROI Analysis Trend Analysis Margin Analysis Profitability Forecasting Analyze the financial impact of pricing changes and business initiatives. Develop recommendations that maximize profitability while supporting business objectives. Sales Partnership & Business Development Support Partner closely with Regional Sales teams to support customer-facing pricing decisions. Provide financial insights that strengthen sales strategies and negotiations. Help identify opportunities to expand customer relationships and increase share of wallet. Support customer retention and revenue growth initiatives. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting & Executive Insights Prepare presentations, reports, and financial analyses for senior leadership. Translate complex financial data into concise, actionable business recommendations. Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities clearly. Develop executive-ready reporting materials and decision-support tools. Monitor industry pricing trends and competitive activity. Assess market dynamics that may impact pricing decisions. Identify emerging risks and opportunities within the customer portfolio. Provide insights regarding market changes, consolidation activity, and commercial trends. Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration Manage multiple projects within a highly matrixed environment. Collaborate with: Finance Teams Business Operations Strategic Partners Coordinate analysis and deliverables across multiple stakeholders. Ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule. Identify opportunities to improve pricing methodologies and analytical processes. Recommend enhancements to reporting and financial analysis capabilities. Contribute ideas that improve business performance and decision-making. Support ongoing process standardization and automation initiatives. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in: Finance Accounting Economics Business Administration Related Field Experience 4+ years of experience in: Finance Accounting Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Business Analytics Commercial Finance Experience developing pricing models and profitability analyses. Experience supporting business decisions through financial analysis.
