Real Estate Accountant

We are seeking a versatile and highly organized Real Estate Accountant to support a portfolio of commercial properties. Reporting to the Controller, this role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse workload from day-to-day accounting functions to more advanced financial analysis.The ideal candidate is analytical and detail-oriented, eager to learn, and confident working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, small-team environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform general accounting functions for a portfolio of commercial properties using Yardi Voyager. Actively monitor and manage collections, directly resolving tenant payment issues and collaborating with the property management team as needed. Execute all accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, fostering strong relationships with vendors, tenants, and internal teams. Prepare and post journal entries and support the month-end and year-end close process. Participate in the annual tenant reconciliation (CAM/OpEx) process. Prepare financial analyses, financial reports, budgets, and special projects as assigned. Communicate proactively with all team members on ongoing projects and property operations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 3+ years of commercial real estate accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management software preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
