Occupational Therapist

Looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital setting. The therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients across various units including acute care, medical, ICU, and inpatient rehab. Diverse patient diagnoses will be encountered, including multi-trauma, spinal cord injury, cerebrovascular accidents, surgical, orthopedic conditions, and neurological disorders. Evaluations will typically be followed by treatment sessions conducted by either the Occupational Therapist or a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Flexibility is required to work in different areas and pick up additional patients as needed. Candidates should be friendly, outgoing, and eager to be part of a cohesive team environment. The position requires working on weekends, with a rotation of one weekend every four weeks. Expected patient ratios are 8-9 patients per day. Experience in acute care settings is essential, as is the ability to manage time effectively. The ideal candidate must be willing to float between various departments in the hospital. Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude are highly valued. This role provides a unique opportunity to work in a small, interdisciplinary team at a regional facility. Demonstrated experience in functional activities and treatment techniques is preferred.
