Manufacturing Support TechnicianLocation: Chesapeake, VA Pay Rate: $17.50/hr (day shift) | $18.72/hr (night shift, 7% shift differential)Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shiftsHours: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM (Days) and 6:00 PM-6:00 AM (Nights)Shift Rotation: Two weeks on day shift, followed by two weeks on night shift Rotating schedule includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays Typical rotation follows a pattern similar to: Work 2 days Off 2 days Work 3 days Off 2 days Work 2 days Off 3 daysTraining: Initial two-week training period will be conducted on day shiftJob Overview: The Manufacturing Support Technician is responsible for supporting all aspects of the granulation operation, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring smooth material flow throughout the plant.Key Responsibilities:Operate Granulators 2, 3, and 4, and monitor Fluff Silos 212 A, B, CExecute daily granulation and housekeeping plansMonitor production equipment, update Production Lead and Pelletizing Technician on statusPerform bulk density quality checks and respond to quality issuesMaintain floor organization, material flow, and housekeeping standardsAssist with preventative maintenance and troubleshoot process equipmentSupport team members and assist in training new employeesOperate forklifts, clamp trucks, motorized handcarts, and other material handling equipment safelyRecord all production activities, quality results, process adjustments, and maintenance performedFollow all safety programs and promote a "Safety First" culturePerform additional duties as assigned by Production Supervisor, Lead, or EngineerTechnical Skills Required: Mechanically inclined; able to troubleshoot and set up machines Mathematically inclined; able to convert metric and standard measurements Machine maintenance experience preferred Prior production/machine operator experience a plus (Stihl, IMS Gear, USUI, Paradigm)Soft Skills / Culture Fit: Team player Takes initiative Communicates effectively and supports the team during shift changesRequirements / Screening: Background check: state and federal Drug test: 5-panel Testing: Not required #IND25
