Licensed Psychologist - Neuropsychological Assessment & Therapy- : Oyster Bay, NY

Job Type: Full-Time, W-2/ Hybrid
Schedule: Monday-Friday, flexible scheduling; minimum of two later-start days (e.g., 12 PM-8 PM). No weekends required. Hybrid schedule with approximately 1-2 remote workdays per week, depending on clinical hours and practice needs.

Position Overview

We are seeking a fully licensed, doctoral-level psychologist (PhD or PsyD) with experience in pediatric psychological assessment, neuropsychological testing, and individual therapy. The ideal candidate has strong clinical skills working with children, adolescents, and neurodivergent populations and is comfortable conducting comprehensive assessments and providing evidence-based treatment.

Responsibilities

Neuropsychological & Psychological Assessment

• Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological, psychoeducational, and psychological evaluations for clients ages 4 and older.

• Administer, score, and interpret standardized assessment batteries.

• Conduct ADOS-2 and autism diagnostic assessments.

• Differentiate ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

• Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports with clear, evidence-based recommendations.

• Present findings at school-related meetings and due process hearings, as needed.

Individual Therapy

• Provide individual therapy to children ages 4+, adolescents, and adults.

• Utilize evidence-based CBT and related therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain a consistent therapy caseload alongside assessment responsibilities.

  Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Full, unrestricted psychologist license in New York State.

• Experience working with pediatric populations, including children ages 4 and older.

• Experience in neuropsychological or psychological assessment.

• Strong clinical background with children, adolescents, and neurodivergent populations.

• Ability to differentiate ADHD, ASD, learning disabilities, and related neurodevelopmental conditions.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to provide both assessment and therapy services to children ages 4 and older.

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal ADOS-2 training and hands-on assessment experience.

• Postdoctoral training in pediatric or adolescent assessment.

• Experience presenting at CSE meetings or due process proceedings.
