ERP Production Systems Lead

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect – Production Planning (PP) to own the end-to-end design and architecture of Slate’s manufacturing planning and execution processes as part of the company’s migration from NetSuite to SAP S/4HANA.

This role serves as the internal counterpart to our implementation partner’s Solution Architect and is accountable for establishing the long-term SAP Production Planning design strategy. The successful candidate will lead the architecture, configuration direction, and process design for:

• SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP)
• Demand Management
• Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
• Production Execution
• Capacity Planning
• Master Data Governance
• Integration points with Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Warehouse, and Finance operations

As the senior functional authority for Manufacturing and Production Planning, this individual will ensure that SAP design decisions support operational scalability, manufacturing excellence, inventory optimization, and efficient production execution across the enterprise.

This is a permanent product team role, not a project-based assignment. The selected candidate will help launch the initial SAP S/4HANA platform and then own the ongoing evolution of Manufacturing and Production Planning capabilities for years to come.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of SAP PP experience, including multiple full lifecycle SAP implementations
• 3+ years of SAP S/4HANA solution architecture experience
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Green field implementation or transformation programs
• A clear, defensible point of view on clean-core and fit-to-standard design
• Experience writing functional specifications, leading finance-side user acceptance testing
• Familiarity with SOX requirements for finance systems, ideally in a pre-IPO or recently public-company environment
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment building a system rather than maintaining one

• Lead the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA PP solutions across manufacturing planning and execution processes
• Define end-to-end solution architecture aligned with enterprise business requirements and SAP best practices
• Provide functional leadership for SAP PP-related projects, assessments, enhancements, and transformation initiatives
• Drive standardization, process simplification, and adoption of SAP S/4HANA manufacturing capabilities
• Establish scalable production planning processes capable of supporting rapid growth and operational complexity
• Lead the design and optimization of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes within SAP S/4HANA
• Ensure seamless process integration across demand planning, procurement, manufacturing, quality, warehouse, and financial functions
• Drive alignment between business stakeholders and implementation teams on future-state manufacturing processes
