Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and limitations to formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and modify treatment plans using a variety of techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment aimed at reducing pain and enhancing mobility.
• Monitor patient progress, documenting treatment sessions while adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
• Educate and train patients, caregivers, and family members on home exercise programs, assistive devices, and self-care techniques to foster independence.
• Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork, collaborating with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in the field by attending workshops and participating in relevant professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied patient population, including children and adults of all ages, each presenting with unique challenges related to recovery from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Your role will be critical in helping these individuals regain their independence and improve their quality of life through targeted rehabilitative strategies.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• State licensure to practice Physical Therapy in California.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and basic computer skills necessary for documentation and communication.
• Adaptability and a positive mindset in a dynamic rehabilitation environment.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not mandatory, candidates with experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings, pediatrics, geriatrics, or orthopedic therapy will be given preference. Experience with specific rehabilitative modalities or techniques is also a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
