Job Summary And Qualifications The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The Speech Therapist supervises therapy aides and students. Role Responsibilities You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient. You will coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services. You will develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes. You will deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient’s needs. You will serve as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech - Language Pathology Current Missouri State professional license or license eligible Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) OR currently completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in the process to obtain the CCC-SLP within 2 years from hire date. BCLS required Prior one year of hospital/health care related experience is preferred.
