Cafe Worker - Chevy Chase

Cafe Worker
Prepare fresh ingredients and menu items for daily caf service. Assist with basic cooking and food production for breakfast and lunch. Support caf operations and learn barista responsibilities (no experience requiredwe will train!). Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately. Provide friendly, positive service to students, faculty, and staff. Work the lunch line when the caf is closed, serving and replenishing food. Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked workstations. Follow all food safety and sanitation standards. Use knives and basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Communicate and work effectively with a small, team-oriented staff. Stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced school environment. Be dependable, punctual, and ready to jump in where needed.

- Monday- Friday
- 7:30 AM- 4:15 PM
We are located close to the Walter Reed, off the Red Line Metro Station, we have bus stops outside of campus, and offer free parking too!

Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members. Maintain the customer service areas to ensure our guests enjoy amazing dining experiences. Prepare assigned menu items in accordance with SAGE recipes. Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques (HAACP).
Experience as a prep cook or line server in a commercial kitchen preferred. Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English accurately. Ability to interact with SAGE guests and Team Members in a professional and positive manner and provide service with a smile!
