Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sports Physical Therapist role located in Abbottstown, PA. The Sports Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat athletes with a variety of orthopedic and sports-related injuries, developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include providing hands-on physical therapy, guiding strength and conditioning programs, implementing injury prevention strategies, and monitoring progress toward performance and recovery goals. The role also involves educating patients on safe movement, rehabilitation principles, and return-to-sport protocols, as well as maintaining thorough documentation and collaborating with other healthcare and performance professionals. Qualifications Clinical expertise in Physical Therapy and Orthopedics to assess, diagnose, and treat sports-related injuries. Skills in Injury Prevention and Strength & Conditioning to design programs that enhance performance and reduce injury risk. Strong Patient Care abilities, including clear communication, empathy, and the capacity to motivate and support athletes. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree and active state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in Pennsylvania. Background in competitive athletics and experience working with athletes in a sports or performance setting. Familiarity with evidence-based practice, rehabilitation protocols, and return-to-play criteria. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and manage a caseload in a fast-paced clinical environment.
