Registered Nurse - Critical Care Float

Registered Nurse - Critical Care Float Pool (Night Shift) Up to $15k sign‑on bonus for qualified external candidates with pediatric critical care experience! Up to $8k relocation assistance provided. Responsibilities Float pool position working in PICU, CICU, NICU. As an integral member of the Health Care Team, the RN functions within the scope of practice defined by the state, the ANA scope and standards for pediatric nursing practice, and adheres to Seattle Children’s policies. Responsible for providing safe, family‑centered patient care, using the nursing care process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care collaboratively with patients, families, significant others, and the health care team. May be required to supervise and delegate tasks to nurse technicians, licensed practical nurses, certified medical assistants, certified nursing assistants, and others as defined by state administrative code. Supports Seattle Children’s strategic goals by incorporating continuous performance improvement, value‑based behaviors, error prevention, patient safety, workforce community and connection, and other initiatives into daily work. Required Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Prior experience in a pediatric related health‑care setting, or a specific area of nursing, may be required for specific departments. Must possess a driving record acceptable to risk management (driver’s license requirement). Required Credentials Current Washington State RN license or other current state license required for the position. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required at time of hire unless an accepted advanced life support certification is already held (PALS or PEARS). When required, obtain PALS within 3 months of employment and maintain it thereafter. For moderately complex point‑of‑care testing, provide a diploma or transcript on record with Human Resources upon hire. Preferred Qualifications PICU, PCICU/NICU experience. Previous experience in a pediatric critical care float pool position. At least 2 years of Pediatric/Neonatal ICU experience. Compensation $51.60 – $91.30 per hour (based on full‑time employment of 2080 hours per calendar year).
