Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Cardiovascular at Asheville, North Carolina. This position involves providing specialized critical care to cardiovascular patients in a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Candidates must bring their licensure on the first day of employment and possess the clinical skills and experience relevant to this specialty.

Job Details:

• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Unit type: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
• Shift Time: Nights
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, alternating weekends, 12-hour shifts
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, ICU experience, proficient in titration of Vesicant Medications, familiarity with pressors, sedation, paralytics, experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, telemetry interpretation, understanding of Hemodynamics and PA Catheter setup and interpretation, transvenous pacing, cardioversion, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and familiarity with chest tube insertions and maintenance
• Preferred Qualifications: CCRN certification is recommended; experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) is desirable
• Additional Information: The unit utilizes equipment such as ventilators, telemetry monitors, Baxter intravenous pumps, IABP, Impella, and CRRT. Procedures performed on the unit include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis.
