The Cleanroom Medical Device Assembler will be responsible for assembling, inspecting and testing high quality medical devices while working within a controlled manufacturing system.Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Process polymer materials to compose, test, or apply on medical devices per approved manufacturing proceduresAssemble plastic and metal components into medical devices in accordance with approved manufacturing proceduresPerform in-process quality checks on subassemblies and finished productUtilize small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and test fixturesParticipate in line meetings as neededWork with engineers and technicians to resolve line issues and suggest improvementsMaintain clean room integrity by using proper attire and adherence to clean room environment practice and proceduresFully understand and maintains accurate records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, labor (e.g., timecards), and special projectsApply workstation practices and line clearance in daily activitiesAdhere to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures, QSR, and FDA regulationsJob Qualifications:REQUIRED:High school diploma or equivalent is required.At least one year of intensive microscope ? based experience in a medical device environment.Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to work with small plastic and metal components in a high-volume manufacturing settingAbility to read, write, and speak EnglishAbility to utilize basic math skillsExecute tasks in a timely manner under general supervision.Computer literacy required, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite desiredWilling to work either 1st shift (7-3pm) or 2nd shift (3:30p-11:30pm)PREFERED:Knowledge of lean, six sigma, kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives a plus.GDP / GMP experienceSoldering, Inspection experiencematerial and work order transactions experienceJohnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
