Must-Have: Ability to read tele strips.
Description:
This role involves working in a 41-bed medical telemetry unit.
The clinician to patient ratio on days is 1 to 4/5, and evenings and nights is 1 to 5/6.
The patient population includes cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychological issues, substance use disorders, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal conditions.
Floating to applicable units is required when necessary.
Rotating shifts are required for day shifts, but night positions are straight nights.
Essential skills include cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, interpretation of tele strips, TR bands, and utilization of high-flow oxygen.
The EMR charting system used is EPIC.
