Litigation Associate - Commercial Litigation

Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-level Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience to join the Litigation Practice Group in Cleveland, Ohio. The role involves working on commercial litigation cases related to financial services, securities, and complex financial transactions. An Ohio law license is required. Duties Manage day-to-day tasks and strategic case management processes. Oversee cases from inception through discovery and trial preparation. Attend depositions, settlement conferences, and hearings. Prepare motions, discovery responses, and client reports. Assist in trial preparation, including strategy, discovery, records review, client interviews, and witness preparation. Requirements 4+ years of litigation-based practice required; experience with bankruptcy and creditors' rights matters preferred. Experience taking and defending depositions. Superior analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Active Ohio law license. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
