Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in a skilled nursing facility setting to restore or maintain functional independence
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Arizona or eligibility to obtain
- NBCOT certification required or eligible
- Experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment
- Strong clinical documentation skills
- Prior travel or contract therapy experience
- Familiarity with Medicare and skilled nursing facility billing and compliance requirements
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
