Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Role in Gibsonton, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.20 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon09:00 PM - 05:00 AMTue09:00 PM - 05:00 AMWed09:00 PM - 05:00 AMThur09:00 PM - 05:00 AMFri09:00 PM - 05:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and critical infrastructure points, verifying credentials, controlling access, and reporting security-related concerns in accordance with post orders. Support incident response and preparedness activities by following established protocols, maintaining situational awareness, and completing required reports related to patrol, access, and/or emergency events. Minimum Requirements: An armed guard card and/or license is required. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
