The Emergency Department Monitor Tech is responsible for the continuous observation and monitoring of cardiac rhythms for all critical care and telemetry patients. Responsible for the detection of cardiac arrhythmias and communication of changes to the Registered Nurse. Responsible for the interpretation and documentation of cardiac rhythms per department standards.


QUALIFICATIONS


• Current BLS certification


• Previous Monitor Tech experience desirable


• Previous hospital experience or other healthcare experience desirable


• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred


• Must be able to read and write in English and have legible writing


• Professionalism, maturity and a sense of responsibility required
