Job Summary As a Prep Cook, you’ll play a vital role in bringing our menu to life. You’ll prepare and cook fresh, high‑quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, consistency, and presentation. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and plate menu items following company recipes, portioning, and presentation standards. Execute daily prep lists efficiently while maintaining freshness and quality. Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment safely and responsibly. Ensure all food items are properly labeled, dated, and rotated according to food safety standards. Support daily production of grab‑and‑go items, specials, and made‑to‑order dishes. Follow all food safety, allergen, and sanitation procedures consistently; keep the workstation clean and organized. Adhere to all health‑department guidelines and company policies; promptly report any unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or maintenance needs; complete daily and weekly cleaning checklists. Collaborate with team members; communicate effectively during service and prep times. Assist in training new kitchen staff as directed; maintain a positive, professional, and respectful attitude. Ensure every plate meets Alltown Fresh standards for taste, freshness, and presentation. Support Alltown Fresh’s commitment to creating moments of connection and hospitality. Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. 1–2 years of kitchen or culinary experience preferred. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Strong attention to detail and consistency. Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen. Dependable, team‑oriented, and professional under pressure. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift. Ability to work near heat, cold, and wet surfaces. Extended periods of standing and working in a high‑volume kitchen. Safe use of knives, cooking tools, and kitchen equipment required. High School Diploma.
