Oakley Country Club, located in Watertown, MA, invites you to consider the opportunity to join our distinguished team as a full- or part-time Dining Host - Greeter . THE BASICS Pay : This position offers both full-time and part-time schedules and provides a competitive pay range of $18 – $20 per hour . Schedule : The Dining Host - Greeter position typically requires evening shifts from Tuesday through Saturday , with occasional day shifts as business needs arise. Candidates must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required. Benefits Health, vision, and dental insurance Paid time off (PTO) 401(k) (after 1 year) Industry education compensation Cell reimbursement YOUR DAY AS A DINING HOST - GREETER In this full- or part-time part-time Dining Host - Greeter role, you will serve as the first and last point of contact for members and their guests, extending a warm and personalized greeting upon arrival and departure. You will manage reservations and seating assignments with efficiency and care, utilizing the club's reservation system and coordinating closely with management, servers, and kitchen staff. You will escort members and guests to their tables, provide menus, and address each by name whenever possible, fostering a sense of belonging. You will communicate estimated wait times clearly, answer phone inquiries with professionalism, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area. REQUIREMENTS FOR A DINING HOST - GREETER Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Professional demeanor Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced environment Commitment to high-level member service Attention to detail and a team-oriented mindset Discretion and professionalism Problem-solving ability Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 15 lbs as needed, and move efficiently throughout the clubhouse and dining areas Hosting, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred. Experience in private club, fine dining, or luxury hospitality environments is also a plus!
