Senior Cost Analyst

Job Summary and Qualifications The Sr. Cost Analyst will perform detailed, comprehensive analysis of healthcare supply chain spend, developing, revising, and communicating analytical summaries to identify cost savings opportunities, contract compliance, price parity issues, standardization, and utilization opportunities. Must acquire, assimilate, and analyze data from multiple systems using a variety of business intelligence and reporting tools. Responsibilities Collaborate with the HealthTrust team and members to provide analysis, summaries, reports, and presentations as assigned. Lead complex and/or large‑scale analytics projects. Serve as a subject‑matter expert, develop training materials, and provide training for applicable systems and processes, reports, analyses, and data output. Develop and design new and innovative tools to improve analytics processes or data visualization. Work directly with members to capture and analyze spend data. Complete analysis and reporting per end‑user’s specific needs. Serve as the point of contact for analytics requests and maintain regular discussions to ensure completed results meet needs. Structure large data sets to identify usable information. Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data. Collaborate and communicate with HealthTrust account and embedded resource teams to support and track data and key performance indicators for member account plans. Prepare presentations, executive summaries, and other documentation for customers and the HealthTrust team. Proactively define and implement efficiencies related to data and report usage. Provide document and project management support for meetings as needed. Maintain the team SharePoint site. Participate in departmental project activities or other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Statistics, Technology, or a related field (required; work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree). 3–7 years of related work experience as a data, business, or financial analyst (required). Medical product knowledge (preferred). Experience with large data sets (preferred). Healthcare supply chain/GPO knowledge (preferred). Healthcare purchasing or analytics experience (preferred).
