As a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, you will be directly involved with both patients and a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that we maintain high standards of care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments, taking detailed histories and adhering strictly to established departmental protocols.
• Leverage advanced skills in women’s health care to execute specialized procedures, including IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements, colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, and fitting of pessaries.
• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and colleagues to tailor care plans, consult on complex cases, and ensure synchronized patient management.
• Actively advocate for patients, considering the full spectrum of their health—physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive dimensions—all pivotal in their treatment plans.
• Coordinate comprehensive patient care by maintaining effective relationships with the healthcare team, ensuring seamless operations from consultation to follow-up.
• Regularly review patients’ medical records to track follow-ups and handle diagnostic study orders in alignment with established protocols.
• Utilize electronic health record systems and telecommunication platforms effectively for accurate documentation and efficient communication.
• Apply patient safety principles and comply with legal standards regarding confidentiality and healthcare regulations diligently.
• Remain steadfast and composed during emergency situations, adhering to clinic protocols while ensuring timely response and communication with relevant personnel.
• Uphold a service-oriented approach in all interactions, fostering a healing environment for patients, families, and colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on female patients spanning a wide age range, from adolescents to seniors, each presenting unique health concerns and needs. You will play a vital role in addressing preventative care, reproductive health, menopause management, and chronic health issues, ensuring every patient receives care that respects their individuality and preferences.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license with authority to practice in Texas.
• Valid CDS and DEA certification.
• Educational requirement includes at least a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Enthusiasm for women's health and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year’s experience as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Experience in performing advanced women’s health procedures.
• Ability to participate in state-funded programs such as Medicare and Medicaid preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
