About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: - Two years of labor and delivery experience required - First-timers accepted if experience requirements are met - Weekend requirement: Yes, every third weekend - On-call as per unit needs - Must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs Description: Nurse in the Labor and Delivery specialty for night shifts. Candidate should possess minimum two years of experience in the Labor and Delivery unit. First-time travelers are welcome if they meet the experience requirements. The position requires availability to work every third weekend. On-call duties may be required as per unit needs. The nurse may be asked to float within similar units to address facility needs. Daily patient ratios are 1:3. The facility sees approximately 100-200 births per month. Charting is done using the Epic system. Candidates must have certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate. Skills required include administration of blood products, neonatal resuscitation, and support for breastfeeding. The position involves assisting with high-risk deliveries and managing various obstetric complications. Nurses will provide care for neonates, adolescents, and adults as needed.
