Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) is sought for a contract position in Tucson, Arizona. The RN will provide specialized care in a Cardiac Observation Unit (COU), supporting patients pre- and post-procedures such as Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Cardioversions (CV). The role involves evaluating patients, assisting physicians, performing bedside procedures, and ensuring seamless patient recovery, all within a high-acuity cardiac setting. Job Details: Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Arizona or compact state registered nurse license, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), minimum of 1 year of experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), telemetry, catheterization (CATH) laboratory, or surgery center is considered on a case-by-case basis. Responsibilities: Admit patients and prepare them for cardiac procedures, including charting pre-procedure checklists, starting IVs, and access preparation. Prepare patients for Cardioversions (CV), and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE). Recover patients following cardiac catheterization involving conscious sedation. Sedate, circulate, and document bedside procedures such as CV and TEE. Discharge patients, including providing teaching, documentation, and physical discharge procedures.
