Maintenance Manager

Location Oklahoma City, OK Reports To Manufacturing Manager FLSA Status Exempt Direct Reports Maintenance Supervisors (if applicable) Maintenance Technicians Contract Maintenance Resources (as applicable) Position Summary The Maintenance Manager provides leadership and direction for the maintenance department in a privately held, family-owned food manufacturing company. This role ensures equipment reliability, facility functionality, and infrastructure performance to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective production operations. The Maintenance Manager serves as a change agent responsible for continuous improvement of maintenance systems, capital project support, and implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance programs that align with operational goals and food safety requirements. Ensuring equipment reliability Ensure equipment reliability through preventative and predictive maintenance programs Maintain infrastructure including utilities and ammonia refrigeration systems Support manufacturing operations through rapid response to equipment issues Regulatory Compliance and Food Safety Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FSMA, SQF, and applicable regulatory standards Support food safety and quality programs through proper equipment maintenance Maintain documentation supporting audit readiness Capital and Continuous Improvement Support plant capital projects including equipment upgrades and facility improvements Implement reliability-centered maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives Utilize data and scorecards to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance Budget and Inventory Management Develop and manage maintenance budget including indirect spend Maintain appropriate spare parts inventory levels Manage maintenance purchasing needs in partnership with Finance Collaboration Partner with Operations, Technical Services and Food Safety & Quality, and Finance to support company objectives Provide technical expertise supporting process improvements and equipment modifications Support training and development of maintenance Team Members Safety Leadership Promote a safe work environment for all Team Members Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures Identify and mitigate equipment-related safety risks Key Performance Indicators Equipment uptime and reliability Preventative maintenance completion rates Downtime reduction Maintenance cost performance vs budget Safety performance metrics Audit readiness and compliance performance Spare parts inventory accuracy Continuous improvement progress Qualifications Education Technical degree or equivalent maintenance leadership experience required Experience Experience in food manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment Experience with preventative maintenance and CMMS systems Experience supporting capital projects and equipment improvements Knowledge of regulatory compliance programs including SQF, OSHA, EPA, FSMA Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and facility systems Strong problem-solving capability Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to influence and lead change Computer proficiency including CMMS and Microsoft Office Preferred Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Experience with Predictive Maintenance (PDM) tools Leadership Competencies Accountability Continuous Improvement Mindset Collaboration Problem Solving Technical Leadership Decision Quality Working Conditions Primarily based in manufacturing environment Regular exposure to industrial equipment and utilities Ability to meet plant safety requirements including PPE use Occasional travel as needed Physical Requirements Standing for long periods of time Frequent bending, squatting, walking, climbing stairs or a ladder and reaching forward and overhead Frequently load, stack, unload or move boxes or bags weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance You should be proficient in: Bachelor's Degree Food and Beverage Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) Machine Safety Inspections Budgeting / Forecasting Experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
