Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay Range: $10.85 - $22.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation can include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums of varying rates depending on circumstances such as schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Responsibilities Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute the customer service programs (e.g., Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot). Ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak business hours. Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring completion of required individual training. Participate in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and conducting interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management on selections. Comply with company phone answering policy. Process buy‑online/ship‑to‑store, hub‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, notifying customers of shipment arrivals. Use the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently, issue accurate refunds, and stage returned merchandise appropriately. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before delivery. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure all team members comply with company policies, including posted schedules, approved deviations, and proper clock‑in/out procedures. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, money/deposit verification, bank deposit preparation, securing the building and vehicles, arming/disarming security alarms, and ensuring night security lights are on. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage and lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification, ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Benefits Competitive wages and paid time off.
