Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 3x12 hour work schedule.

The Registered Nurse (RN) will maintain the delivery of quality care by ensuring compliance with the nursing care plan. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while embracing the core values of the organization. Patient and employee safety is a priority, with a focus on the 10 Foot Circle of Safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments on patients within the first 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Participate actively in the implementation of the patient rehabilitation program.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to relevant care providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Train and supervise ancillary nursing personnel effectively.
• Promote a positive and safe work environment through team collaboration and communication.
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed once orientation is completed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to first shift.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required prior to first shift (specific locations only).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience required.
