Sr Manager, External Supply Planning-OrthopaedicsDePuys Synthes is recruiting for a Sr Manager, External Supply Planning-Orthopaedics located in Raynham, MA, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Raritan, NJ, Warsaw, IN, or West Chester, PA!The Sr Manager, Supply Planning will lead the Supply Planning team for external operations and govern planning decisions that balance customer service, cost, inventory, capacity, and supply risk across global supply chains. This role is accountable for driving disciplined planning execution, developing supply plans, ensuring on-time supply from vendors, and enabling business trade-off decisions that support service, growth, and operational performance.In this role, you will support E2E network planning, new product introduction, inventory optimization, supply communication plans, SC planning processes and system strategies, and be accountable for driving improvements and outstanding supply planning practices on a global scale.This position has a team size of about 10 persons including managers & analysts. A key area of accountability is talent development and capabilities to deliver on the overall objectives for the Planning function and the business.The role reports into the Director, External Supply Planning and Operations and will partner closely with Global Planning Leaders, Vendors, E2E Supply Chain and Value Stream Leaders for the respective platforms.This is an exciting opportunity to shape planning strategy, influence global supply chain decisions, lead a high-performing planning team, and partner with senior leaders across commercial, finance, manufacturing, quality, regional supply chain, and product management. The leader in this role will help improve supply reliability, inventory health, NPI readiness, scenario planning, and executive decision-making across the Spine portfolio.Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Annual, Quarterly, monthly and weekly supply planning processes for the Depuy Synthes portfolio sourced from our vendor network.Develop the Master production schedule by Supplier site and engage in monthly capacity and supply review meetings.Proactively monitor the supply performance and initiate corrective actions to mitigate the supply risks.Develop and supervise demand, supply and executive reviews to achieve outstanding planning process, supply reliability and customer satisfactionEnsure detailed execution so that product is available at the right place, in the right quantities, at the right time to service our customersLead and coach the team: empower and develop to deliver accurate results and deliver on commitmentsAnalyze and proactively lead inventory levels to meet business plans and ensure defined service levels and partner with other departments to develop solutions to a variety of supply opportunities with varying levels of scope and complexityDrive cost optimization and improved inventory visibility through the propagation of supply plansSupport the Global IBP process by being responsible for the Executive Supply Review section addressing the supply performanceSupport business/scenario planning (12-24 months horizon), inventory, capacity & capex investment for future years impact of NPIs and base business growth on Jabil manufacturing sitesOwn global metrics (backorders, OTIF, Sets deployment, Inventory targets, Volume/Mix MPS Attainment, Excess & Obsolete, Order Management, Team Efficiency metrics)Build and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholdersPeriodically evaluate planning system parameters & settings that influence net requirements planning and inventory targets.Lead the blueprint for the planning process improvement for supply, with the objective of moving towards autonomous & no-touch planning, supported by analytical / AI capabilities.Ensure Planning process alignment with the MedTech / Depuy Synthes Supply Chain blueprint.Support the E2E Platform Teams with functional analytics and insights to drive the overall optimization of E2E metrics for the PlatformQualificationsEducation:Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field is requiredAn advanced degree in Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience is preferredExperience and Skills:Required:Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a healthcare or similarly complex, regulatory dependent Sector with growing levels of responsibility and demonstrated leadership track record in Supply Chain Planning & People LeadershipIn depth Planning experience and understanding of E2E supply chain principlesAbility to work independently in a structured and determined way.
