Nurse Practitioner – Hematology/Oncology

Location: Syracuse, NY

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) | 5x8s

Hours: 40 Hours per Week

Pay Rate: $130–$139/hour (Depending on Experience)

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Hematology/Oncology for a 13-week travel assignment. The NP will provide advanced, evidence-based care in collaboration with physicians in an acute care oncology setting.

• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner (NP) License

• Specialty certification aligned with practice area

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required

• Medicare NP number (or eligibility to obtain)

• BLS Certification

• ACLS Certification

• Strong clinical judgment and independent practice ability

• Ability to work in an acute care hospital environment

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for hematology and oncology patients

• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans

• Document detailed SOAP notes and clinical records

• Prescribe medications per state regulations and collaborative agreements

• Coordinate multidisciplinary care plans

• Educate patients and families on treatment and disease management

• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed

• Work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient oncology environment

• Collaborate closely with attending physicians and care teams

• Prior Hematology/Oncology experience strongly preferred

• Inpatient or acute care hospital experience

• Strong communication and patient management skills
