The ideal candidate should have a solid background in electrical or transportation construction and excel in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment.Position OverviewThe Senior Project Engineer will support the Project Manager and Superintendent in managing project execution, overseeing documentation, controlling costs, and ensuring schedule adherence. This role is crucial in meeting project goals related to budget, quality, and safety, while maintaining effective communication among the field, clients, and project management.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle change proposals, change orders, and owner payment applications.Monitor job costs, generate quantity and labor cost reports, and aid in quarterly profit analysis.Lead the project closeout process, ensuring all documentation and deliverables are finalized accurately.Research and suggest quality control solutions; verify field work for compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes.Assist project leadership in planning, scheduling, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.Work closely with field operations to guarantee safe, efficient, and high-quality project completion.Help with document control, cost tracking, and subcontractor coordination.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.Minimum of 10+ years of experience in construction industry.Experience in electrical contracting or transportation/mass transit projects preferred.Experience with traffic signal systems or street lighting projects is beneficial.Deep understanding of contracting principles, cost control, and scheduling methodologies.Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Results-driven mindset with a focus on team performance and client satisfaction.Why Join UsThis is an opportunity to join a highly efficient team working on significant transportation infrastructure projects that will shape the future of Los Angeles.
