Job Title: Oncology Data Specialist / ODS-C
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $30 – $45 per hour
Location: Remote Position Summary
As an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C), you will support cancer registry operations by accurately abstracting, analyzing, and maintaining oncology data. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting research, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives. You will work with complex oncology cases across multiple sites in a production-driven environment where accuracy and quality are essential. Responsibilities

  • Hours per week: 20–40
• Key Duties:
  • Perform case finding, abstraction, and follow-up for oncology patients
  • Accurately collect and input data in accordance with registry standards
  • Review complex oncology cases across multiple primary sites
  • Ensure compliance with CoC, NCI, and other regulatory program requirements
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards in a remote, production-based environment

• Licenses & Certifications
  • Required: Certified Tumor Registrar / Oncology Data Specialist (CTR/ODS) from the National Cancer Registrars Association
  • Additional certifications (if applicable): N/A

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of oncology data abstraction and registry standards
• Ability to manage complex cases across multiple sites
• Experience working in high-quality, production-based environments
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Experience working remotely
• Experience with complex oncology cases and multi-site abstraction
• Experience working with CoC and NCI facilities highly preferred
• Experience with abstracting, case finding, and follow-up processes
