Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Frisco, TX

Deliver impactful virtual care as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in telehealth consultations for a GLP-1 Weight Management Program. This contract-based position offers a blend of autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to enhance patient outcomes through a protocol-driven, patient-focused approach.


Schedule/Hours:

• Shifts available: 1st shift, with start time at 8:30am CST
• Flexible options: Full-time (40-50 hours per week) or part-time (25-30 hours per week), based on your preferred workload

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough virtual evaluations, assessing patient medical histories and intake documents to determine suitability for GLP-1 therapy
• Make informed clinical decisions: prescribe and adjust GLP-1 medications as clinically appropriate
• Deliver patient education, covering dosing protocols, medication administration, treatment expectations, and side effect monitoring
• Ensure meticulous and compliant documentation of all telehealth encounters, adhering to HIPAA, state, and federal regulations
• Escalate high-risk or complex cases to the Clinical Director; provide clear guidance to patients on when to seek emergency care

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Texas Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
• Board certification (FNP, AGNP, or similar specialties)
• DEA registration with full prescriptive authority in Texas
• Eligibility to prescribe GLP-1 medications within the state
• Strong preference for telehealth experience, particularly in protocol-driven environments
• Background in obesity medicine or metabolic health a plus
• Familiarity with GLP-1 medications and dosing strongly preferred
• Multistate licensure highly desirable
