• Duration: 60+ days (locum to perm)
• Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, working until last chemo/biotherapy is completed
• Hours/Week: 40+
• Employment Type: Locum to Perm
• Licensure/Certs: State license, DEA, BLS, Oncology experience preferred (3-5 years)
• Experience: 3-5 years Hematology/Oncology nursing or advanced practice

What You ll Do:

• Provide outpatient Hematology/Oncology care to a high-volume patient panel
• Manage treatment visits, follow-ups, and new patient assessments
• Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
• Monitor patients for co-morbidities and treatment responses
• Follow established protocols for chemotherapy and biotherapy administration
• Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
• Support patient education and symptom management

What You Need:

• Valid state Nurse Practitioner license in Louisiana
• 3-5 years Hematology/Oncology experience
• Ability to work independently with excellent clinical judgment
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Certification in BLS (required); additional Oncology certifications preferred

About the Assignment:
This outpatient clinic specializes in complex Hematology and Oncology cases with a focus on personalized patient care. The facility features a fully staffed infusion suite with 16 chairs, enabling comprehensive treatment and follow-up. There is no inpatient rounding required. The team includes full- and part-time physicians and NPs who collaboratively manage an extensive patient panel, emphasizing care coordination for patients with co-morbidities.
