Recreation Therapist, CF – California Correctional Institution (CCI) California Correctional Health Care Services Salary: $9,159.00 - $9,903.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification. Location Tehachapi, Kern County, California Responsibilities Develop, implement, and evaluate therapeutic recreation programs for inmates under the direction of the Senior Psychologist, Correctional Facility (CF) or Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I, CF. Instruct and motivate patients in individual and group recreation therapy. Monitor and document treatment progress. Collaborate with other health care providers to share assessment information and integrate therapeutic recreational activities into treatment plans. Maintain order and supervise patient conduct to ensure safety of persons and property. Minimum Requirements Certification or eligibility for certification as a recreation therapist by the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification or the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a baccalaureate degree in recreation therapy or in recreation and leisure studies with a specialization in recreation therapy.
