Part-Time General Manager - Moving Company

Job Description

Sunshine Affordable Movers is seeking an experienced and highly motivated General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our growing moving company. This is a leadership role for someone who is organized, customer-focused, and passionate about building a high-performing team.

The General Manager will be responsible for managing operations, supervising employees, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving business growth while maintaining profitability

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all daily business operations.
Manage dispatching, scheduling, and moving crews.
Recruit, train, and supervise office staff, drivers, and movers.
Ensure every move is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
Handle customer concerns and resolve service issues.
Monitor company performance, expenses, and profitability.
Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Coordinate truck maintenance and equipment management.
Develop operational procedures to improve efficiency.
Report weekly on financial performance, staffing, and operational metrics.
Help grow the business through outstanding customer service and operational excellence.

Qualifications

3+ years of management experience (moving, transportation, logistics, or home services preferred).
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Experience managing schedules, employees, and daily operations.
Ability to solve problems and make sound business decisions.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the moving or transportation industry.
Knowledge of dispatching and logistics.
Sales and business development experience.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
